Our Story

We are the Beckner Family, we own and operate Jericho Run Farms. Jason and Stephanie grew up here in Ohio and have been farming together since the Fall of 1999. They are proud to have deep agricultural roots that go back generations and we look forward to our children continuing to work the land. We believe in doing things like our Great Grandparents, the old fashioned way. Vegetables grown without the use of pesticides and animals raised ethically and humanely. 

Jason's family has farmed and sold their produce at local farmers markets since his great grandparents started in the late 1800's. Stephanie's family has had generations of small garden farmer's who has had roadside market stands. When we got married we began raising livestock, mainly cattle and sheep, and farmed full time.We had a small garden also and went to the Farmer's Market every saturday. Over the years we still have a few head of cattle and have transitioned to mainly raising heritage breeds of hogs for fresh quality meat and raising produce. Our farm uses Eco-Organic practices. We use compost made from our livestock as fertilizer and avoid using pesticides or herbicides on our crops.  We raise our livestock in indoor/outdoor facilities where the animals are free to come and go as they please.
